The answer is, yes and no. Kandid will still be updated, but will return to being a journal comic. However, it won’t have a regular scheduled update and will just be “whenever something funny happens in life and I decide it’s worth drawing about.” I also wanted to start having more freedom with the comic, not limiting the comic to print format only. I want to be able to animate more, play with an extended canvas, etc.
This decision has been on my mind for a few months and I feel like it’s the right move. I want to move on to newer comic projects and Kandid has been around for over four years. I’ve learned so much about the comic making process and how I operate as an artist that I feel that I’m ready for a full story comic. I have the general outline of how Flash Flare is going to pan out entirely, but I really want to spend some time fine tuning it and finding a working process before I start churning out pages.
Anyway! Since everyone is all up in those social medias, please feel free to follow me on the social media of your choice! That’s where you’re going to hear the updates, straight from the source, me!

Followed. I look forward to see what you come up with 😀
Awesome! Hope you’ll like it! 😀
Wait, Did I miss something? What’s Flash Flare? Is it related to this parody thing, “Kare Wa Kare-pan!”? AM I MISSING OUT ON CRYSTAL KAN COMIC GOODNESS!?
Flash Flare is going to be my next comic I’ve been hinting about over here on my tumblr. It was originally called ExtraOrdinary! but since there’s already a popular comic named that, I decided to rename the project, Flash Flare. You can read the pilot/test version of it over here!
